The amount of AirPod competitors in 2018 and 2019 was crazy. Everyone was making a pair of wireless headphones, and clones are a dime a dozen on Amazon. Those clones are still going to be everywhere in 2020 too. If you're looking for an actual AirPod or AirPod 2 competitor from Google, don't wait. Google will not make something that looks like Q-tips coming out of your ears. And while Apple's buds have some great features, a comfy design, and good sound, Google's buds won't have a similar style. They do look super comfortable though. If you're looking for AirPod competitors choose something like what we're talking about in the video above. They're a great alternative to the AirPods. Google's Pixel Buds 2 will be a completely different product, with its own unique features and controls. And while we think they're worth waiting for, if you just want something like Airpods there's no reason to wait. | |||||||||

Whelp, this article is less than a month old and it didn’t age well :( what a letdown by Google that was. We want Pixel buds 2!

Yeah, pretty weak. We’re hoping for Pixel Buds 2 along with the Pixel 3 Lite in early 2019.
